PALAKKAD: A woman died tragically after the bike she was on skidded upon hitting a stray dog. Salina (40), a native of Malappuram, died in the incident. Salina's son, Muhammed Shammas, who was riding the bike, escaped unhurt. The accident occurred while she was returning from visiting a relative in Alanallur.

The accident occurred on Thursday night. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Perinthalmanna with serious head injuries. Salina succumbed to her injuries at 7 am on Saturday.
