DUBAI: India defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super-Four round on Monday. Pakistan entered to bat first after losing the toss yesterday, but posted a decent score of 171/5. India surpassed the score with seven balls to spare after losing four wickets. Abhishek Sharma scored 74 runs off 39 balls, and Shubman Gill scored 47 runs off 28 balls.

Zimbabwean match referee Andrew John Pycroft controlled the game on Monday. The Pakistan team head had earlier demanded that the ICC remove Pycroft from his role as referee after the Indian team captain refused a handshake with the Pakistan captain during the toss of the last game. Adding fuel to the drama, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav yet again refused a handshake with Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha during the toss today.
