CHANDIGARH: The draft organizational report presented by the CPI at the party congress has criticized that the growth of the party is being affected by the fact that some leaders are only aiming for personal gains. This weakens the party's collective efforts. Such people threaten to leave the party when they are denied seats in the elections. Sectarianism has also become rampant in some elements.

There are those who think that the party's work is just giving petitions without studying the party constitution and reaching out to the people. Some people are only focused on making money and fame. The party cannot move forward by marginalizing women. The inability to organize large-scale mass protests is due to organizational weakness. Those who joined the party after 1980 should be educated in ideology and organizational discipline.

Social media presence should be increased

Members should also increase their presence on social media like in the southern Indian states including Kerala. At the same time, leaders should not post on social media that go against the party's stance.

Rs 100 each should be collected

The report also recommends collecting Rs 100 each from members for the party's centenary celebrations. Out of this, Rs 50 should be given to the central committee. Only the Kerala component complied with the 2023 proposal to raise one crore rupees each from state components. Kerala raised more money.
