Actress Rima Kallingal reasserted her staunch belief in feminism and even endorsed the word ‘Feminichi’, a moniker mostly used by critics to taunt feminists in Kerala. Rima, while speaking in an interview given to a YouTube channel, said she wanted to explore roles ranging from comedy to psycho characters.
'People misunderstand that we are activists all the time. There can't be anyone like that. We all have another side. There are times when I celebrate, when I am happy, when I am peaceful," said Rima.
Rima Kallingal:
“I regret signing the documents related to my marriage. I don’t believe in this system, and marriage is a trap. Ashiq and I love each other more fiercely than before, and marriage brought nothing new into our lives. We are both independent people and will chase each other’s dreams. It is just for my parents that I agreed to sign the marriage papers. There should not be some papers demanding we love this particular person. To choose who we love is our choice.”
The film 'Theatre: the Myth of Reality' directed by Sajin Babu is getting ready for release. Rima Kallingal is playing the lead role in the film, due for release on the 16th of this month.
