PARAVUR: An accused, who jumped from the top of the building to escape the police, died in the fall. AC Manoj (48) of Ambaattuveetil, Paravur, died in the incident. The incident took place at 10 pm on Wednesday.

When the Paravur police came to arrest the accused reaching his hiding spot in Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, Manoj jumped from the second floor to escape. He was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries but died by midnight. The body was in the Karaikal government Hospital morgue.

A.C. Manoj is accused in several cases, including injuring two workers with a blade near Lakshmi College on the 14th of last month. A week ago, he had evaded the police team that came to arrest him at a private bus stand in Paravur. Manoj is the son of the late Chacko and Mary couple. Siblings: Mini, Shimmi, Gregor, and the late Nimmi.
