ALAPPUZHA: A 12-year-old boy died in an accident at Thuravoor in Alappuzha. The dead is Sabareesan Ayyan, son of Nishad of Vayalar Kollapally Pallipattu. The accident happened Monday morning at 8.30 am near Padmashi Kavala on the national highway.

Sabareesan and his brother were pillion riding. A private bus struck their bike. Sabareesan fell under the bus when the bike lost control. As the bus ran over him, he died on the spot itself. Nishad, who sustained injuries and his younger son are under treatment at the Thuravoor Government Hospital.
