THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Museum Police Station team found and returned a school bag that fell off a scooter. The school bag of Rakshitha, a fourth-grader of Holy Angels School, was lost the other day. The police found the bag within 24 hours of receiving the information.
The incident took place on the 11th. Rakshitha was going home with her parents on a scooter after a scholarship exam. Her school bag fell in front of Kalyan Silks in Palayam. She and her parents came to know about the loss of the bag only after going a short distance. They returned immediately but did not find the bag.
Suganya, an RJ at a private FM station, came to know about the information when Rakshitha's mother Rajitha was called from FM the next day to do a program about the weight of children's school bags. The matter was broadcast and the museum SHO was also informed. When the CCTV cameras of the area on the day of the incident were checked, it was noticed that a woman, an auto driver who had come by, had taken the bag.
The woman was found during the investigation focused on that auto. However, the woman said that she had taken the bag to return it and that her husband had suddenly taken ill and had to go to the hospital. The police, convinced that this was true, took the bag and handed it over to Rakshitha.
