
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Kerala today for a four-day visit. The President, who will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram in the evening on a special IAF flight, will be received by Governor Rajendra Arlekar, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan, and others. The President, who will reach the Raj Bhavan at 7 pm, will rest in the Ananthapuri Suite.
The Indian President's Kerala visit includes a pilgrimage to Sabarimala, Sivagiri visit, the unveiling of former President K.R. Narayanan's statue, and jubilee celebrations of Pala St. Thomas College and Ernakulam St. Teresa's College.
On Wednesday at 9.25 am, the president will leave for Nilakkal by helicopter. She will prepare the Irumudi Kettu (sacred, two-compartment bundle carried by devotees on their heads during a pilgrimage to the Sabarimala) at Kerala Raj Bhavan. The governor and his wife will also make a pilgrimage to the temple.
The program in Sivagiri will be at 12.50 pm on the 23rd.
