KANNUR: A departmental inquiry has been initiated against a police constable trainee on a complaint of concocting a fake PSC hall ticket to get leave. The investigation is against KAP fourth Battalion Recruit Police Constable K V Jishnu. PSC Kannur district officer filed a complaint against Jishnu at the Town Police Station. As part of the investigation, Jishnu was kept away from the training.

Jishnu was granted a day's leave to appear for the PSC store keeper exam held on October 16. When Jishnu returned from leave, the head of the KAP Battalion Training Center asked him to present the hall ticket with the signature and office seal of the invigilator at the examination center. As he did not produce the hall ticket, a written explanation was sought. Jishnu then somehow got the hall ticket of his friend, a candidate, modified it and made it in his own name.

On Tuesday, when the exam was held, he tried to get the signature and seal of the principal of higher secondary school, also chief superintendent of PSC exams, it was found that the hall ticket was fake. The chief superintendent of examinations informed this to the PSC district officer. When the PSC sought an explanation, Jishnu appeared and wrote what had happened. The PSC district officer handed this over to the head of the KAP fourth Battalion Training Center. With this, he was kept away from the training.

Battalion Commanding Officer N Biju has been assigned to the departmental level investigation. Jishnu tried to concoct a fake hall ticket after realizing that he would not be able to get leave except for urgent needs.
