Ravali was one of the leading actresses in Tamil cinema in the 1990s. Though not very familiar to Malayali audiences, those who have watched the song 'Chandanamani Sandhyakalil' from Mohanlal’s movie Praja will instantly recognise her. She was the young woman in a silver outfit dancing alongside Mohanlal in that popular number.

Apart from Praja, Ravali also appeared in a few other Malayalam films, including Judgement, Mr. and Mrs., and Devaragam.

Ravali acted not only in Malayalam but also in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films. She stepped away from the film industry in 2011 and has rarely been seen since. She married Neeli Krishna in 2007 in Hyderabad, where she publicly announced her decision to retire from acting. Although she made brief appearances in a few Telugu films afterwards, her final on-screen appearance was in 2011.

Fans spotted her alongside actress Roja Selvamani, known for her roles in both Telugu and Tamil cinema. The two were seen together at the Tirupati Temple.
