Plus one student drowns

MANANTHAVADI: A Plus one student drowned at Koodalkadav check dam near Kuruva Island. Sanjo Philip (17), son of Kattikulam Alathur Palavila Sanu Philip and Rose Mary, is the deceased. While swimming in the river with friends, Sanjo started drowning. The locals tried to help, but all went in vain. Later, Sanjo’s dead body was found by the search conducted by the Fire Force and Police.

Sanjo was a plus one student at Malankara Catholic Seminary. The body has been transferred to Mananthavady District Hospital for post-mortem.
