'Filmed nude gang assault content, thrashed with cane'; Kochi sex racket main accused Sindhu remanded
KOCHI: Sindhu, the prime accused in the Kochi sex racket under the guise of modelling, has been remanded. The remand is for 14 days. The other two accused, including Aleena, who was arrested earlier, have also been remanded. The action is being taken by the Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court.
A total of five accused are involved in the case. The remand report states that the first accused, Sindhu, has links with several gangs. The remand report states that it was Sindhu who forcibly made the victim drink cola mixed with sedative white powder, took pictures of the gang rape and sent them to the complainant's husband, and thrashed her with a cane.
The remand report also states that there is evidence that they paid money to the other accused. The second and fifth accused in the case have not been arrested yet. It is reported that a lookout notice will be issued for them soon. The police expect more people to come forward with complaints in the coming days. The police are also investigating whether any other gang members were involved in the racket.
