“Measures will be taken to keep all police stations clean. Vehicles that have been lying idle at the stations for years will be removed under the Police Act. All 484 police stations in Kerala will have a new look. There will also be effective changes in operations. Police stations will be turned into public service centres.
There is a huge drug trade going on with impunity in the state. Such gangs are trying to exploit school and college students in particular. An operation called 'Operation Toofan, Narco Hunt' is being launched against this. This operation is to root out the drug menace in Kerala. Any incident that comes to the attention of the people can be reported to the nearest police station. Priority has been given to finding the source of the drugs. This is a big operation to safeguard our future generation.
This will start from the day the school opens on June 1. The DGP of Kerala will also contact the DGPs of other states. The states from which synthetic drugs and hybrid cannabis are transported to Kerala will also be contacted. Strict action will be taken against those selling tobacco products. There will be no compromise.
Strict action will be taken against attacks on women and children. The meeting decided to strengthen the Janamaithri Police and give importance to student police cadets. Steps will also be taken to reduce the increasing number of road accidents in Kerala. Technology will be further strengthened to eliminate cybercrimes.”
