NEW DELHI: Following the sharp increase in the price of commercial cylinders, the price of petrol and diesel in the country may also witness a rise. A report said that the price hike is due to the sharp increase in crude oil prices in the global market in the backdrop of the West Asian conflict. According to the report, the price of fuel may increase by Rs 4 to Rs 5 per litre. The price of domestic cylinders will also increase. The increase will be between Rs 40 and Rs 50 per cylinder.

The increase in fuel prices in the country will be the first in the last four years. There have been no major changes in fuel prices since 2022. The final decision is expected to be made within a week.
