K Muraleedharan wrests Vattiyoorkavu, wins by 2796 votes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a tight race, senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan wrested the Vattiyoorkavu constituency. He defeated LDF's V K Prashanth by 2796 votes. NDA's R Sreelekha was relegated to third place.

With K Muraleedharan wresting the constituency, the LDF has suffered a heavy blow. Sitting MLA V K Prashanth had won Vattiyoorkavu in 2021 by 21,515 votes. In 2016, K Muraleedharan had won here by a majority of 7622 votes. K Muraleedharan had won in 2011 as well. Muraleedharan had then won by a majority of 16,167 votes.
