Youth stabbed to death over argument on starting scooter with scissors 

KOCHI: A dispute that began when a youth tried to start his scooter with a pair of scissors after losing the key ended in a fatal stabbing in Kochi's Palluruthy area. The dead is 31-year-old Shijoy also known as Kannan, son of late Kuttan from Ayyamveliparambu near Palluruthy Veli.

The incident occurred around 10 pm on Saturday. C J Jenson (38) of Cheruvila Puthenveedu in Palluruthy who was staying on rent at Thevara, had lost the key of his scooter. The incident happened at Karma Lane. He then attempted to start the vehicle using a pair of scissors. Shijoy allegedly mocked Jenson over the act, leading to a verbal altercation between the two. The argument escalated and Jenson reportedly stabbed Shijoy with the scissors he was holding, causing fatal injuries.

Police quickly apprehended the accused, Jenson. A detailed investigation into the incident is presently underway.
