'Congress leaders on mute mode; impossible to ignore KC Venugopal', says Rajmohan Unnithan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress MP Rajmohan Unnithan strongly criticised the Chief Ministerial race among leaders in the UDF. Unnithan termed the fight for the CM spot as a sectarian activity and requested that organisational etiquette be followed.
“Party workers should not take their discontent to the streets. Those who tore Oommen Chandy's flex are not Congressmen. If there were a picture of Rahul Gandhi with KC Venugopal, they would have destroyed that too. How can KC Venugopal, the general secretary of the organisation, be rejected? All Congress leaders in Kerala are silent as they are afraid of being attacked on social media. Let the leaders fight for the Chief Minister's chair, but avoid street war. The high command's decision is final, and no opposition will be raised.
Everyone, including the League, has the right to express their opinion on the Chief Minister's post.” Said Unnithan.
