Immediately rescind decision to hike milk price, govt will be held accountable: Nemom MLA Rajeev Chandrasekhar to CM Satheesan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nemom MLA and BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar demanded that the VD Satheesan government immediately withdraw its decision to increase the price of Milma milk. The MLA said that the decision in Kerala, the state reportedly with the highest inflation in the country, would further aggravate the crisis of the common man. Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote in a Facebook post that the Congress government should not adopt a style of imposing price hikes on the common man to overcome the economic crisis.
“This is exactly what the LDF government did in the past. The BJP and the NDA are not ready to stand by as mere spectators when the government’s decisions are causing hardship to ordinary Malayali families. If the government is not ready to withdraw the price hike, we will strongly oppose it. The government will be held accountable inside and outside the assembly.” Rajeev Chandrasekhar also noted that Chief Minister VD Satheesan should clarify to the people what steps are being taken to protect farmers and consumers alike by reducing production costs.
