'Justice for Oommen Chandy’; Tomb is finally being built after wait of two and a half years, says Chandy Oommen
KOTTAYAM: Chandy Oommen, the UDF candidate from Puthuppally, said the election victory is also a response to the political vendetta against Oommen Chandy. The Left Front unnecessarily haunted him when he was in opposition and when he was in power. This is the election in which Oommen Chandy has got justice. So is going to build a tomb for him. Chandy Oommen responded to the media by saying that he had been waiting for two and a half years without building a tomb.
‘The election result is a protest against the non-implementation of a single development work in Kerala. Will the people not vote against the government that allowed the looting of Ayyappan's gold? Ayyappan is the whole of Kerala,' Chandy Oommen responded.
Chandy Oommen had written on Facebook after the results were announced that the love and support given to Oommen Chandy by Puthuppally was behind his big victory. Chandy Oommen won by 84,031 votes. The victory was won by a majority of 52,907 votes.
‘The love and support you gave to Appa is the foundation of this victory. Every new step we took together during the election campaign, every new idea you took with your heart and joined hands with trust, has turned into a great victory. This victory is not only mine, it is also the victory of the people of Puthuppally. The victory of the trust we have gained together. Let's begin the new development journey of Puthuppally,' Chandy wrote on Facebook.
