THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An employee was injured after an oxygen tube exploded at Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital. Nursing assistant Shyla was injured. The oxygen tube in the emergency department exploded. The flow meter that adjusts oxygen exploded due to excessive pressure. Shyla, who suffered serious eye injuries, was taken to the eye hospital but was referred to the medical college. It is indicated that her eye will require surgery. It is unclear how the explosion occurred.
