KOZHIKODE: A 14-year-old boy drowned in a pond. The incident happened in Chirakkal pond in Thazhangadi Vadakara, Kozhikode. The dead is Sahal, son of Aslam of Thazhangadi Cheran Vida. The incident happened this afternoon.

Sahal had gone for swimming in Chirakkal pond along with his friends. He drowned while swimming. The boy was fished out by the locals. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vadakara, but his life could not be saved.
