THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharatiya Janata Party State General Secretary Advocate S Suresh accused Minister Sivankutty of playing shameful politics to secure a win in Nemom constituency, where BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar is contesting. It is alleged that the namesake candidate, Rajeev Kumar GS, is the secretary of CPM's Arannoor A branch.

“Rajeev Kumar G S is very familiar with those in Thiruvananthapuram and Karamana. CPM and Sivankutty are trying to dupe the people of Nemom. Sivankutty, who is facing a defeat, will try all possible means to stymie BJP’s win in the constituency. Sivankutty's present behaviour is more shameful than his infamous conduct inside the assembly.

The NDA has already done work to ensure victory in Nemom constituency with a majority of half a lakh votes. The people of Nemom will ignore the drama, similar to the one used to defeat Mr K. Surendran in Manjeswaram.” Suresh demanded that the CPM and Sivankutty clarify their role in fielding a namesake candidate to insult democracy.
