BJP once again opens account in Kerala; B B Gopakumar wins in Chathannoor
KOLLAM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again opened its account in Kerala with B B Gopakumar winning from the Chathannoor constituency. He defeated LDF candidate R. Rajendran by a margin of 4,002 votes.
“This is a constituency where the BJP came second in both 2016 and 2021. This time, the people of Chathannoor wanted a major change. The people here wanted the benefits of Narendra Modi’s governance to reach every place and also wanted a local candidate to win. The hard work of party workers, from booth-level workers to the state president, continued without pause. What did not change earlier has now changed in Chathannoor. I had to wait for 10 years. This is the change that the people wanted. I dedicate this victory to the people of Chathannoor,” said B B Gopakumar.
