'Those images are entirely fake and fabricated'; Rukmini Vasanth to take legal action over AI-generated bikini photos
BENGALURU: South Indian actress Rukmini Vasanth has responded after AI-generated images falsely claiming to show her in a bikini photoshoot began circulating online.
In a statement released on social media, the actress clarified that the images are “entirely fake and fabricated.” She said both she and her team became aware of the manipulated pictures that were being widely shared on the internet.
Rukmini strongly condemned the creation and circulation of the images, calling it “deeply irresponsible” and a “serious violation of privacy.”
The actress also stated that she is taking the issue seriously and has decided to pursue legal and cybercrime action against the people responsible for creating and spreading the fake images.
“We are taking this matter seriously and initiating the necessary legal and cybercrime action against those involved in creating and spreading these images,” the statement said.
Rukmini further urged the public not to share or engage with the manipulated content online.
Rukmini Vasanth began her film career with the 2019 Kannada movie Birbal. She later rose to fame with her performances in the romantic dramas Sapta Saagaradaache Ello: Side A and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello: Side B, which earned her widespread appreciation from audiences and critics. Apart from Kannada cinema, Rukmini has also worked in Telugu and Tamil films. She gained nationwide attention with Kantara: Chapter 1. Her upcoming projects include Toxic and Dragon.
