Vijay, Trisha visit Ajith Kumar's residence to offer condolences after mother Mohini Mani's death; video goes viral
CHENNAI: Actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay visited actor Ajith Kumar's residence in Chennai on Saturday to offer his condolences following the demise of Ajith's mother, Mohini Mani. Vijay arrived at Ajith's residence along with actress Trisha Krishnan. Videos of their visit have gone viral on social media. Vijay and Trisha were seen arriving in a BMW car accompanied by security personnel.
After getting out of the vehicle, Vijay warmly embraced Ajith. The visit attracted significant attention among Tamil cinema fans, especially considering the long-standing public interest in the relationship between the two stars. Vijay and Ajith had acted together in the 1995 film Raajavin Parvaiyile. It remains the only movie in which the two superstars appeared on screen together.
Although fan groups have often portrayed Vijay and Ajith as rivals, both actors have publicly maintained a cordial relationship over the years. Reports had earlier suggested that Ajith personally called Vijay to congratulate him on his election victory.
Trisha is considered one of Ajith's closest friends in the film industry. She has acted alongside him in films such as Ji, Kireedam, Mankatha, Yennai Arindhaal, Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly.
Ajith's mother, Mohini Mani, passed away a few days ago while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for age-related health issues. Her final rites are expected to be held at Ajith Kumar's residence in Palavakkam, Chennai. Ajith had also lost his father, P. Subramani, two years ago. The actor is now facing another personal loss while still recovering from the grief of his father's passing. Ajith's brothers are Anil Kumar and Anoop Kumar.
