Attempted to capture private visuals of woman by placing hidden camera inside washroom; printing press owner arrested in Thiruvananthapuram
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man has been arrested for attempting to capture private visuals of a woman by placing a hidden camera inside the washroom of a printing firm. The arrested person has been identified as Rahul P Ashok (38), a native of Chekkalamukku in Sreekaryam.
The incident took place at the printing firm owned by Rahul in Chekkalamukku. Rahul attempted to capture the visuals by keeping a hidden camera on with a power bank attached to it inside a waste bin in the washroom. However, while using the washroom, the woman, a native of Pullambara, spotted the camera inside the waste bin and immediately informed the police.
The incident took place in March this year. The accused, who went into hiding shortly after, had been attempting to secure an anticipatory bail. The Sreekaryam police arrested him after the court rejected his bail plea. He was subsequently produced before the court and remanded.
