KOCHI: 300 groups of three came to participate in the rare reunion of triplets born in a single birth. Participants ranged in age from one to thirty. Families came from abroad and even from other states. All of them were born in the three hospitals of the Edappal Hospital Group in Edappal, Thrissur, and Kochi. The hospital management arranged the venue for the gathering at the Kochi Hyatt. The event witnessed the beginning of new friendships, WhatsApp groups were formed, and countless selfies followed.

Edappal Hospital Chairman Dr K.K. Gopinathan took the initiative to personally call the triplets from the available records of triplets born between 1996 and 2026. Dr K.K. Gopinathan revealed that more than 3,000 twins have also been born in this hospital.

Hibi Eden MP and Health University VC Dr Mohanan Kunnummal jointly inaugurated the gathering.
