LUCKNOW: In a chilling incident in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, a man allegedly shot and killed his mother and brother following a dispute over the sale of family property. The accused, identified as Rajkishore Gupta, a resident of Banda, remains at large after fleeing the crime scene.

According to preliminary investigations, the tragedy was triggered by the sale of ancestral property by Rajkishore’s father. The accused was reportedly deeply resentful after being excluded from the distribution of the sale proceeds.

The situation escalated on Sunday morning during a heated confrontation at their residence. In a fit of rage, Rajkishore allegedly pulled out a firearm and opened fire on his mother and brother. Neighbors, jolted by the sound of gunfire, rushed to the spot and found both victims in a pool of blood. They were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but medical staff declared them dead on arrival.

Superintendent of Police Palash Bansal confirmed that forensic teams have visited the site and collected crucial evidence. "Four special police teams have been constituted to track down the accused, who fled immediately after the shooting," the SP stated.

The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and the police have assured that the remains will be handed over to the relatives once the legal formalities are completed. Local authorities have intensified the search in neighboring areas to apprehend Gupta.
