Festive greetings, political silence: CM Satheesan evades sharp queries on ED raid at Pinarayi Vijayan's residence
KOZHIKODE: Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan continued to evade media queries for a second consecutive day regarding the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids conducted at the residence of Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan and other locations. Speaking to reporters in Malappuram on Thursday morning, the Chief Minister strictly restricted his comments to his visit to the Panakkad ancestral home, where he attended an Eid-ul-Fitr breakfast with the Panakkad family. "I am deeply pleased to have shared breakfast with the Panakkad family. Moving forward, our society must evolve into a space where everyone, transcending boundaries of caste and religion, can celebrate together in unity," CM Satheesan stated. However, the Chief Minister consistently deflected several follow-up questions from journalists seeking his official stance on the high-profile federal agency raids. The CM's calculated silence comes at a time when the ED's sudden crackdowns have triggered an intense political storm across the state. Despite the issue dominating public and political discourse since yesterday, the Chief Minister has chosen to remain tight-lipped, repeatedly walking away from media briefings without offering a definitive response.
