Kerala Secretariat allotment complete: CM and Kunhalikutty to share North block third floor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The newly sworn-in V. D. Satheesan government has finalised the allocation of official chambers for the Chief Minister and cabinet ministers within the Secretariat complex.

Power corridors: North & main blocks

  • North block (3rd floor): Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan and Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty will operate from the third floor of the North Block, the primary seat of administration.
  • North block (1st & 2nd floors): Senior ministers K. Muraleedharan and Ramesh Chennithala have been assigned chambers on the second floor, while Mons Joseph and Shibu Baby John will occupy the first floor.
  • Main & North sandwich blocks: The third floor of the North Sandwich Block will house the offices of Sunny Joseph and Anoop Jacob. Meanwhile, C. P. John and A. P. Anil Kumar have been allotted space on the first floor of the Main Block.

South block & Secretariat annexes

  • South block: Ministerial offices for T. Siddique and K. A. Thulasi have been designated on the second and third floors, respectively.
  • Annex-I: Vertical distribution in Annex-I sees Roji M. John on the fourth floor, K. M. Shaji on the fifth floor, and O. J. Janeesh on the sixth floor.
  • Annex-II: Lower floors of Annex-II have been allocated to M. Liju, V. E. Abdul Gafoor, and Bindu Krishna. Higher up in the same building, P. K. Basheer will occupy the fifth floor, P. C. Vishnunath the sixth floor, and N. Samsudheen the seventh floor.

Official sources confirm that structural and logistical arrangements across all blocks are now complete, allowing the new ministry to commence full-fledged administrative operations immediately.
