P C George arrives with BJP leaders and surrenders in court in hate speech case

KOTTAYAM: BJP leader P C George has surrendered in the court in connection with the hate speech during a channel debate. George reached the Erattupetta court along with BJP leaders. The Erattupetta police registered a case against P C George under the non-bailable section based on a complaint filed by the Youth League for allegedly making remarks that could incite religious hatred during a channel debate on January 5. The Kottayam additional sessions court and the high court had rejected P C's anticipatory bail plea. Following that, he surrendered. It was earlier said that he would be arrested from his house.
