Man beheads ice-cream seller in mid of road; arrested while trying to burn head

LUCKNOW: A 25-year-old ice cream seller was beheaded in broad daylight at Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh. The dead has been identified as Bablu (25) of Para Behata. The police have arrested Shankar Yadav (50) of Parsawal in connection with the incident.

As usual, Bablu came to Parsawal village to sell ice cream. A verbal dispute broke out between the two. Meanwhile, the accused went to a nearby house, took a sickle from there and attacked Bablu. After beheading the youth in the presence of the locals, he went inside the house.

When the police reached the spot after knowing about the incident, the accused was trying to burn the head. The weapon used for the murder was recovered from the house. The police said that the youth's body has been sent for postmortem and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
