Kerala Sahitya Akademi Awards announced; fellowships awarded to Vaisakhan, KP Sankaran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Sahitya Akademi awards for the year 2021 have been announced. Senior storyteller Vaisakhan and renowned literary critic KP Sankaran have been honoured with fellowships. The fellowships carry a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a two sovereign gold locket.

R Rajashree and Vinoy Thomas shared the award for best novel. Anwar Ali won the poetry award for 'Mahboob Express'. Devdas VM won the short story award for 'Vazhi Kandupidikunnavar'.
