MB Rajesh's private secretary resigns to take back party organizational role

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: Minister MB Rajesh’s private secretary Dr. VPP Mustafa has been shifted back to the party organization role. Rumors are afloat about the party deciding to contest VPP Mustafa from the Kasargod seat in the next year's Lok Sabha elections.

CPM state committee member VPP Mustafa is a respected leader from the Kasargod district and is a fiery orator. Mustafa formerly served as the private secretary of MV Govindan while he was minister of local self-government. Mustafa remained unchanged when the portfolio fell into MB Rajesh's hands.

The Kasargod district committee beseeched the party state secretary to bring back Mustafa to bolster their chances in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kasargod, a fortress of CPM, altered its course towards UDF in the previous Lok Sabha elections. The current move from the party is a corrective measure to make Kasargod go red again.

The new private secretary for MB Rajesh has not been appointed.
