Blogger Aishwarya Rai held for smoking on Indigo flight

MUMBAI: A woman was taken into custody for smoking in the toilet of Indigo flight. The woman, a blogger named Aishwarya Rai was taken into custody from the flight from Mumbai to Ranchi.

She was found smoking when the smoke detector went off inside the plane. Incidences of in-flight smoking have been on the rise in recent years. Air India was recently fined Rs 10 lakh by the DGCA for not reporting a passenger who had smoked on a Paris-New Delhi flight. A middle-aged man was recently caught for smoking on a flight from Gulf to Kerala. Cases of smoking and drinking causing problems in flights have been reported recently in India as well.
