ED launches probe against Vijesh Pillai

KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a preliminary investigation against Vijesh Pillai, who was accused by Swapna of trying to settle the gold smuggling case. The ED will investigate whether Vijesh is laundering black money under the guise of entertainment programs.

A few days ago, Swapna Suresh informed ED about her meeting with Vijesh Pillai in Bengaluru. ED had interrogated Vijesh for two hours even before Swapna revealed about the meeting on Facebook. ED officials will be conducting an investigation into Vijesh's financial status, background, dealings, relationships, establishments etc.

ED has found that black money is being used in the entertainment sector, including cinema. Sources said that the agency is checking whether Vijesh has any connection with such groups. ED will register a case if it receives evidence.

Vijesh is a fraud, says director Manoj Kana

Meanwhile, director Manoj Kana has come out alleging that Vijesh Pillai is a fraud. Manoj Kana revealed that Vijesh had deceived him by promising that he would release his national award-winning movie 'Kenchira' through the OTT platform.
