Four injured as bike collides with car in Parassala

PARASSALA: Four people were injured in a collision between a car and a bike on the national highway. The accident happened at 7.30 on Sunday night at Karali near Parassala. The collision was between a car coming from Kaliyikkavila to Thiruvananthapuram and a bike going from Parasala to Kaliyikkavila.

The bike collided with the car while overtaking a bus. The bike passengers Sivakumari (44) and Surya (21) of Kaniyaramkodu house in Aynkamam, were admitted to the Parassala Taluk Hospital by the locals, and Attukal Chiramukku natives Reshmi S Nair (38) and Abhi Sunil (15), the passengers of the car who were seriously injured, were admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

The accident occurred when the duo on the bike were returning after reaching a hospital in Parassala and the passengers of the car were returning after going to a marriage house in Kaliyikkavila.
