Didn't get a bed in hospital: Saneesh Kumar sat in a wheelchair for a quarter of an hour

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MLA Saneesh Kumar Joseph, who was injured during the opposition protest in the Legislative Assembly, was kept in a wheelchair for more than a quarter of an hour without being given a bed at the General Hospital. The MLA who was brought to the hospital for observation was taken in a wheelchair for scan and X-ray tests after initial treatment. When he returned after this, the MLA was not given a bed and was put in a wheel chair.

The bed allotted to the MLA during the observation was later given to the watch and wards who sought treatment. The MLA was in a wheelchair whenever the doctors checked the scan results. This time MLA was not given a bed in observation even though there was vacancy.

Even when Minister V Sivankutty and CPM District Secretary V Joy MLA came to visit the injured watch and wards, Saneesh Kumar was still in a wheelchair. After a long time after all of them had gone, the MLA complained to the doctor and the bed was allowed. Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan, DCC President Palot Ravi, Uma Thomas, Anwar Sadat and RSP State Secretary Shibu Baby John also visited Saneesh. MLA KK Rema, who was injured in the hand, was released in the meantime after X-ray tests on his hand.

Nine watch and wards injured

Nine Watch and Wards, including an Additional Chief Marshal, were injured in the opposition protest. They also sought treatment at the General Hospital. Additional Chief Marshal Moideen Hussain, Watch and Wards Neetu, Megha M Murugan and Anish were seriously injured. Akhila, Sheena and Malavika suffered bone injuries.
