Helicopter crash in Arunachal: Army confirms death of two pilots, announces probe into incident

NEW DELHI: Indian Army has confirmed that two pilots have died in a major helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh. Army's Cheetah helicopter flying an operation sortie crashed while on its way to Assam. The accident took place in the Mandala Hill region of Bomdila.

Locals informed the army about the accident in the afternoon. Immediately, the army and the police reached the spot and carried out rescue operations. The army has announced a probe into the accident. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives of the pilots on Friday.
