‘Collector Uncle’ now in Thrissur; Haritha V Kumar hands over charge to Krishna Teja

THRISSUR: VR Krishna Teja took charge as District Collector in Thrissur. Former Thrissur Collector Haritha V Kumar handed over the charge to Krishna Teja. Krishna Teja was the Assistant Collector in Thrissur when A Kaushigan was the Collector and Haritha V Kumar was the Sub Collector. Krishna Teja, who became very popular in Alappuzha within a short period of time, also knows Thrissur well. Haritha V Kumar handed over the charge to Krishna Teja in a ceremony held at the collector's chamber at 10 am on Wednesday. After assuming charge as District Collector of Thrissur, he also conducted Kerala Kaumudi "Utsavam” Book release.

Haritha V Kumar said that she is leaving the district with full satisfaction. Haritha V Kumar is going to Alappuzha after leading many activities in 18 months. The cultural festival organized under the leadership of the district administration and Vadakkechira Fest attracted a lot of attention. The Collector is leaving the district after coming up with a plan to make Vadackechira a permanent marketing centre. 17,000 people were given the title deeds under the leadership of the district administration. Under the leadership of collector, Thrissur topped the list among the districts which gave the most number of title deeds.
