Morphs women’s photos and circulates, accused and former CPM leader found hanging, co-accused attempts suicide

KANNUR: One of the accused in the case of morphing and circulating images of women was found hanging. He has been identified as M Muraleedharan (46), a former member of the CPM local committee. He was found hanging last evening near the tar mixing plant at Valiyavelicham.

Co-accused Abhinav (25) of Thrikkannapuram attempted suicide and is undergoing treatment. After collecting pictures of women on social media, they morph them and then circulates via telegram.

A woman from Thrikkannapuram lodged a complaint with the Koothuparambu police. A case was filed then under the IT Act and for insulting women. Muraleedharan was an employee of Koothuparambu Service Cooperative Bank. He was expelled from the party the other day.
