Good voter turnout in Karnataka Assembly Polls; DK Shivakumar rides autorickshaw

BENGALURU: Voting is underway in the Karnataka Assembly elections. An approximate 52.03 percent voter turnout was recorded in the state till 3 pm. Exit poll results will come out by today evening.

Around 50,000 polling booths have been set up across the state. There are tight security arrangements in each polling booth. The counting of votes will take place on Saturday. As many as 2613 candidates are contesting the elections in 224 constituencies. 5.3 crore voters will be casting their votes in the polling booths across the state. Actor Kichcha Sudeepa cast his vote along with his family. The video of the actor coming to the polling station is circulating on social media.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar was seen riding an autorickshaw after casting his vote. Several videos showing Shivakumar riding the autorickshaw are going viral on social media. Shivakumar had earlier said that the Congress would get a good majority in the assembly elections.
