This famous prosecutor may appear in Dr. Vandana case, action plan prepared

KOLLAM: Rural crime branch headed by ADGP M R Ajithkumar has created a proper action plan to lock convict Sandeep in the murder of Dr. Vandana Das. Scientific evidence, statements, and different documents have been acquired as part of the action plan. As part of the process, ADGP M R Ajithkumar visited the Taluk Hospital and visited the rooms in the hospital for inspection. The CCTV visuals are also being scrutinized by the police. Sandeep is currently lodged in Poojappura central jail and will be taken into custody for more questioning on Monday.

Dr. Shibin Muhahhmed was the lone doctor who saw Sandeep stabbing Dr. Vandana. The FIR prepared had certain flaws which included his statements. A new report will be made and within 90 days time, the police expect to complete the chargesheet in the issue. Meanwhile, DIG R Nishanthini visited the police officers who were injured in the scuffle.

The police favor special prosecutor G Mohanraj to take up the case. Mohanraj is a celebrated name and has successfully appeared in a slew of notorious cases including the Vismaya case, Uthra case, and Aadu Antony case. With all the scientific evidence and statements in hand, the police are hopeful of gifting Sandeep the harshest punishment for the crime committed.
