17-year-old held in theft case found hanging in juvenile home

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 17-year-old boy was found hanging in the juvenile home in Poojappura. The dead is a native of Kallikkad in Kattakada. He was held for a theft in train and brought to the juvenile home.

The employee of the juvenile home said that when the children were taken out of the room last evening, the boy was found hanging on a window rod. He hung using a towel (thorthu). Though he was taken to the General Hospital, his life could not be saved. The body has been shifted to the mortuary. The Poojapura police have started an investigation into the incident.
