'Turned laughing stock in front of late father, won't review again, I quit'; Santhosh Varkey responds after theatre ruckus

Santhosh Varkey is a constant in front of theatres in Kochi. However, the recent shot to fame for this Kochi native turned into a bitter-sweet experience yesterday with his review of the film ‘Within Seconds’. Santhosh who is known by the sobriquet 'Arattu Annan' dismissed the movie as a failure while returning from the theatre just 35 minutes after watching the movie.

“ I didn't like the movie and decided to come out of the theatre after 30 minutes. The same media guy was there and he asked for my review. I told him about the consequences as I have just watched 30 minutes of the movie. He forced me to give an audio byte. The reaction saw many people manhandling me. If someone comes to me with a request I never say no. It is part of my problem too. “

He later fumed at the media for not stepping in to question the rogue nature shown by some in manhandling him. He said the media stooped that low to shoot that manhandling video to share on youtube channel.

“This is my last review. I won't ever do it again. I turned into a laughing stock in front of my late father. I will live my life and I request the media to not interfere with it. I have given enough reviews but have never taken a single paisa. Nothing good happened to me with this." a desolate Santhosh said.
