'Nandini offers poor quality milk, Keralites should not buy it', Minister Chinchu Rani fears Nandini downing Milma's business in state
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minster of animal husbandry, J Chinchu Rani made statements apprehensive about Karnataka-based Nandini milk establishing a market in Kerala. Minister informed the press about moving ahead with a complaint to the National dairy development board. Nandini milk is owned by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of Karnataka, and is the highest-selling and most preferred milk in Karnataka state.
“When you intend to enter another state for business, it is mandatory to seek permission from the authorities. Nandini has breached all such rules. Milma offers the best milk in the country. Nandini is no good so better not talk about them. No people of this state should buy Nandini.” Minister said.
Meanwhile, Milma Malabar Region Cooperative Milk Producers Union chairman KS Mani said the issue would be raised in the next board of directors meeting of the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India.
Paying less heed to MILMA’s protest, Nandini has opened outlets in Kochi, Mancheri, and Tirur. Compared to MILMA, Nandini offers milk at seven rupees less.
