Coach dismissed for misbehaving with girls 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Sports Council dismissed the temporary cycling coach who misbehaved with the sports students while under the influence of alcohol. Coach named Suraj, who was arrested by the Kazhakoottam police in the incident, has been remanded by the court for 14 days.

The other night, Suraj, who was under the influence of alcohol, misbehaved with female students at the Council's Cycling Academy. The girls immediately informed their parents and sports council officials about this. Following this, the council authorities immediately intervened in the matter and formed an inquiry committee under the leadership of the secretary and recorded the statements of the girls. On the recommendation of the committee, which found that the coach had committed the mistake, Suraj was immediately terminated and dismissed from service. The police registered the case yesterday after recording the statements of the girls.

The new governing body of the State Sports Council took strict action in this matter to prevent the recurrence of such embarrassing incidents.
