Minor girl attacks police after boyfriend's arrest; CPO injured in confrontation

KOTTAYAM: A minor girl attacked the police who apprehended her boyfriend. The police had arrested Vishnu in Goshalaparambil the previous day. The incident took place near Kailathupadi in Thrikodithanam.
Someone alerted the police and reported that the girl was seen in a suspicious situation at the young man's house. Soon, the police arrived at the scene and took Vishnu into custody. In response, the girl displayed aggression, demanding the release of the young man. In the midst of this, Chief Police Officer (CPO) Selvaraj got injured as his hand got caught under the door of the jeep.
The girl has been relocated to a shelter, while the young man remains in custody.
