MALAPPURAM: More information is out in the murder that shook Thuvvur. After burying the body in the premises of the house, Vishnu’s Facebook post mentioned the missing of Sujitha. When the search for Sujitha, who went missing on August 11, was intensified, Vishnu had been continuously sharing details related to it on Facebook. Meanwhile, suspicion turned on Vishnu and he was taken into custody. When Sujitha's phone location was examined, it was last seen near Vishnu's house, which made the police suspicious.

Sujitha was summoned to his house and suffocated to death. Vishnu, youth congress mandalam secretary, then hanged her and with the help of his brothers, father and friend, dug a pit, buried her and then laid metals on top of it. The process of exhuming the body has started. Senior police officers are camping in the area.

Sujitha, wife of Manoj of Thuvvur, is a Kudumbashree activist and a temporary employee of Krishi Bhavan. It is reported that Vishnu and Sujitha, who were temporary employees of the panchayat office, were acquainted and financial transactions had taken place between the two. It is suggested that a dispute over this resulted in the murder. It is also reported that after killing her, he stole her jewellery.
