Calf's limb severed in explosion; Incident at spot where political parties experiment with bomb explosions

KANNUR: In a bomb explosion at Chittaripparamab, a calf's limb was severed. The incident was within the range of Kannavam Police Station. Political parties used to experiment with such explosions at this place. The calf was grazing at a cashew plantation behind Ayisha Hosiery Factory and stepped its foot on a steel bomb sparking an explosion.

On hearing the sound, watchman K.P. Chaathukutty went to the spot and informed the police. SI Sharafudheen and team reached the spot. A case has been filed. There is criticism regarding inaction from the police even after years of bomb-making and arms training by political parties in this area.
